By utilizing the Food Bank's cost-effective and reliable services, agencies are able to provide more food or more varieties of food to their clients. Many use the money they save through their Second Harvest affiliation to build other areas of their organizations.

Types of agencies that Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida serves:

Emergency Food Pantry -- provides food for individuals to take away and prepare at home

Soup Kitchen -- serves on-site meals to individuals

On-Site Feeding Program -- also serves on-site meals, usually to individuals with special needs. On-site feeding programs include day care centers, senior centers, rehabilitation facilities and others.

How to become a Partner Agency:

To be eligible to become a partner agency of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, an agency must have a feeding program that serves the needy, ill or infants; and it must have a 501(c)3 letter from the IRS.
