Volunteer
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida relies on more
than 9,000 volunteers every year to fulfill our mission. Our
various projects offer fun and unique ways for individuals
and groups of all kinds to contribute their time, talents
and resources to connect with the community.
ONGOING FOOD BANK NEEDS
Food Sorters
Sort and box donated products in our warehouse (The Food Rescue Center) located at 1918 W. Princeton St. in Orlando 32804. Needed Tuesday-Saturdays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. We are also open for volunteer groups on some evenings and most Saturdays. Dates & times may vary so please call ahead and schedule your time with the Volunteer Services Manager. Individuals and groups are welcome. This activity is an ideal service project for families, large groups, middle or high school age students and companies looking for team-building programs.
K.I.D.S Clothing Program Coordinate a group
to remove labeling from children's clothing and shoes through
a charitable program that has donated new products to go to
Kids In Distressed Situations.
Food Drive Delivery Help with food drive pick-ups.
Food drives are collected throughout the year, January - December.
This is a great contribution to the food bank for any individual!
Food Drive Sponsors Coordinate a food drive
at your organization or company and collect much-needed canned
foods and other nonperishable food items.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has many special
events throughout the year to raise funds and food. Volunteers
can assist by registering guests, serving food or assisting
chefs.
