Volunteers are vital to the success of Second Harvest Food Bank. In 2000, more than 4,500 volunteers contributed more than 21,000 hours -- the equivalent of 10 full-time staff members!

Food Donations
Second Harvest Food Bank receives hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year through distributors and manufacturers in the food industry. The Food Bank also receives food and personal care products through community food drives that are sponsored by various organizations and individuals.
