Millions in Food Benefits
Tens of millions of dollars in approved Government benefits such as SNAP (formerly known as “Food Stamps”) go unclaimed in Central Florida every year. These dollars are left on the table for a wide variety of valid reasons, including obstacles in the application process, lack of awareness, and more. Our Benefits Connection program utilizes a team of field-based specialists with laptop computers who help people access food stamps, Medicaid, Florida Kidcare insurance, TANF benefits and more. Since the program began less than a year ago, our specialists have connected people with more than $2 million of additional benefits. How’s that for economic stimulus?
