September 14: Who's Feeding America?
 This year, Feeding America worked with Fortune magazine in building a special four-page advertorial section entitled, “Who’s Feeding America?” The section will be featured in the September 14 issue of Fortune and on newsstands starting August 31. In addition, the issue will be sent out to business leaders and Fortune 100 CEOs across the country, this spread will incorporate the work of Hunger Action Month donors while also promoting national and local marketing campaigns, employee engagement, product donations and childhood hunger.
September 15: Macy's Come Together Campaign
 Dinner’s ready and you’re invited! On September 15th Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida will help our local Macy’s store host a celebration as part of the national kick off event for Macy’s Come Together campaign, which benefits Feeding America and our food bank.

We will join more than 650 participating Macy’s stores in a simultaneous “first course” meal at 6 p.m. to celebrate the campaign launch and to educate customers about the issue of hunger. Join us at these locations: Altamonte Mall, Florida Mall, Melbourne Square Mall, Orlando Fashion Square, Millenia Mall, Oviedo Marketplace, Seminole Town center and Volusia Mall.
By hosting simultaneous first-course events, Macy’s is creating the World Largest Dinner Party! You won’t want to miss it! Macy’s is inviting customers across the country to Come Together over dinner. You host a dinner. Your friends and family donate money.  Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida relies on more than 7,500 volunteers, whose hours total over 28,000, every year to fulfill our mission. Our various projects offer fun and unique ways for individuals and groups to contribute their time, talents
and resources to connect with the community. Sign me up to become a Volunteer!
September 17: Vote Online for Portraits of Hunger - 2 Days Left
 Take a moment to go through our top 12 photos and help us choose our top 3 winners by voting for your favorite. Vote as many times as you want! The winner will be announced on September 30 at Enzian's Eden Bar. Chosen photos will be displayed at the event and some will be picked to be made into larger than life size banners to be hung at the food bank’s warehouses. Winning photo will be put in our Gatherer Newsletter - 10,000. Voting ends on September 18!
September 18: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
 Take Your kids to see a fun movie and to find out how they can become hunger helpers. A Hunger Helper is someone who finds ways to fight hunger in the community. Become a Hunger Helper today by making your own bookmark and even writing to your congressman.
September 19: Hobbit Meals: Announcing the First Ever Hobbit Meals Moot
 Come enjoy all 7 Hobbit meals and a viewing of all three extended versions of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Breakfast! Second Breakfast! Elevensies! Lunch! Afternoon Tea! Dinner! Supper! Hobbit Meals is dedicated to feeding the hungry in our local communities by hosting “Hobbit Meals” in which food and monies are donated to local food banks and charities. Defeat Evil. Feed the world.
