Portraits of Hunger Photo Contest
It's true that an image can speak louder than words. And when that image spotlights a social issue that affects millions, the message can be stronger than any written or spoken word. Our Portraits of Hunger campaign was done to tell a serious story... the story of hunger.
The faces in the photos we received tell the story. Hungry faces, hopeful faces, faces of courage and faces of survival are what we see every day in our work to fight hunger. We hope that you will take a moment to view the slideshow on the right and then take a moment to go through our top 12 photos below and help us choose a winner by voting for your favorite. The top Portraits of Hunger will be showcased at Enzian's Eden Bar on September 30 at 7:30 pm.
Chosen photos will be displayed at the event and some will be picked to be made into larger than life size banners to be hung at the food bank’s warehouses. Winning photo will be put in our Gatherer Newsletter - 10,000 distributed.
