Catering for Good of Second Harvest Food Bank invites you to attend a Great Culinary Experience featuring local guest chefs. Guest will enjoy a gourmet dinner from unique menus of some of Central Florida’s most talented chefs.
All proceeds from Catering for Good support a Culinary Training Program that puts Central Floridians back into the workforce as food service professionals. We hope you take advantage of this delicious opportunity to fight hunger in our community.
The month of September features the chefs of Grande Lakes: Highball & Harvest and Whisper Creek Farms.
A Tampa-native, Chef Hardin will bring his experience and expertise in Southern inspired cooking to Highball & Harvest. Most recently, he was Executive Sous Chef at the award-winning restaurant Yardbird Southern Table & Bar in Miami Beach, where he worked with two-Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant, and prior to that at Copperfish Grill and Oyster Bar in Tampa. At both restaurants he successfully led teams of more than 30 staff in the production of high-quality, exceptional local and seasonal specialty dishes. His earlier experience includes four years as Sous Chef and Head Line Cook at J Alexanders in Tampa.
Chef Jaden Sheive is the Executive Chef for the Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen at the Marriott Grande Lakes. The restaurant offers farm inspired comfort food and craft beers. A desire to bring Grande Lakes’ onsite farm experience to guests brought Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen to life.
Together Chef Nathan and Chef Jaden have created a fusion menu from both restaurants for guests of Chef Night to enjoy one night only. The menu will feature a 4-course dinner as well as a specialty cocktail, wine and hand crafted beer.
Chef’s Night is on Thursday September 24, 2015 at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida at 411 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32805. Passed hors-d’oeuvre at 6:00pm. Dinner seating at 6:30pm.
